Anyone who searches for car calendars for 2012 on Amazon receives 265 hits in a matter of seconds. We certainly do not want to present so many new collections of images here. We have preferred to take a look at which calendars blogger colleagues are writing about – and came across these four in the process:

At Prestigecars.de, Simone Amores praises the VW Classic Calendar, which comes in the form of an elaborate, three-dimensional format in 2012. For example, in the case of the vintage car “Karmann Ghia type 34”, it is even possible to feel the shape of the characteristic headlights. Autodino.de writes in a slightly more masculine and direct way: “The Karmann Ghia type 34 coupé wants to be touched up.” Anyhow – anyone who wishes to “touch” Volkswagen has to hurry: The calendar is limited to 1000 copies, which are only available here in the VW Classics Online-Shop.

Do we really need to own our cars? Wouldn’t it be enough just to be able to use them whenever we need to? Like the subway or a DVD from a rental store? Automotive experts have been discussing this issue for years, and it’s a big topic again in German car blogs. Yesterday’s Morning Show on ZDF, a German TV channel, did a piece on the subject. The topic: Car sharing programs, including those with electric cars, in various German cities.
