Design meets function – LED light in interior applications
Individual LED components are permitting an increasing number of lighting solutions in interior applications. In the past, the focus was always on functional aspects; today, however, design issues are increasingly taking center stage. We talked to Lena Sossenheimer, Marketing Manager Interior Sector at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Regensburg, about trends and innovations.

Headlamps – a design contest
Round or square, absolutely tiny or wider than a radiator grill, retro-style or futuristic – the headlamp designs on the new products at the IAA vary almost as widely as the cars themselves. We have photographed some of the most interesting looks for you.
Aston Martin Cygnet:
The Cygnet is the new (sub-)compact car from the Anglo-Indian carmaker. The tail lights in the form of a horizontal “U” are an eye-catcher in terms of light design. Perhaps it was the name “Cygnet” that inspired the elegant curve.
