Once again we crawled through the world of automotive blogs. This time we had a special focus on Down Under and proudly present you these five picks. Enjoy!

How to construct a race car

Nigel Petrie from Victoria/Australia is a professional race driver and blogs about his experiences at engineeredtoslide.com. He builds his cars with his own hands and documents every step in this blog. Therefore: If you want to learn how to construct a race car from the bottom up, follow him!

Inspiration for tuning fans

At stayclassy.co.nz Roo Wills covers the various race series and race cars in Down Under – it’s a great page for drifting enthusiasts but for tuning professionals, too, since Roo, a photographer from Auckland, takes a lot of detailed images of hot gear boxes, shiny rims and fashionable car bodies.

Picture book

Matt Malcolm from Auckland/New Zealand is a great photographer und loves speedy and drifting race cars. That seems to be enough if you want to publish a gorgeous car blog: Mattfresh.wordpress.com is a collection of unique images. According to shots like this one New Zealand must be a quite cool place for car photographers…

Hosanna and farewell

Another awesome blog from New Zealand: retro-classics.co.nz presents young and old timers. In contrast to other blogs which focus on chromed legends this one shows historical cars of all price ranges and some sadly tattered relicts, too. Our favorite article is this farewell on a decrepit Nissan Cedric somewhere in nowhere.

A masterclass of car photography

Entirely we found a great US blog: Maydaygarage.com is a Houston/Texas based tuning website with a crew of awesome photographers. Check out Theo Civitello’s images of Santa Claus in his new Nissan 240sx S14 or David Do’s photo spread of a nostalgic sidecar bike. If you want to learn how to take images rich of horsepower, rummage through this blog.

We used the National Holiday in Germany yesterday to browse through the universe of automotive blogs. Was a great fun to check out the fanciest images and the latest stories. Below you find five outstanding English speaking blogs. As we already mentioned last time: The blogosphere’s huge. Therefore once again that’s only a very personal extract. Nevertheless: Enjoy!

The world of historic cars
Jamie Doyle’s blog www.sportscardigest.com is a great sports and vintage car collection from California. If covers auctions, rallies, and historic automotive events. We love the “Vintage Car Racing” part: Click through the photo gallery of Algarve Historic Festival or Grand Prix de Pau Historique at one of the last sunny autumn days sitting on the balcony (as we did!) or in a café and you will feel like being part of the race!
